Why We Built OSO

OSO was created in response to a growing problem in modern AI systems: users are increasingly required to trade privacy for convenience. Most AI platforms rely on centralized accounts, extensive data collection, and persistent storage of conversations. In many cases, the interactions people have with AI systems are logged and later analyzed to improve training data. Questions, personal thoughts, and sensitive discussions can ultimately become part of datasets used to refine future models. We believed there should be another option.

OSO is designed to give people access to powerful AI tools without forcing them to surrender control of their data. The platform is built around a privacy-first philosophy where conversations remain local, personal information is not required, and identity is minimized through anonymous 16-digit authentication keys rather than traditional accounts. The goal is to reduce the amount of information that must be collected in order for the system to function.

We built OSO because we believe AI should empower people, not monitor them. The goal is not simply to provide another chatbot, but to create a system where intelligence and privacy can coexist. As AI becomes more integrated into everyday life, OSO represents an alternative path — one where technology serves the user without demanding their identity, behavior, or history in return.
