Privacy architecture
How OSO Works
OSO is a privacy-first AI system designed to operate without collecting personal data, behavioral data, or conversation logs. No accounts, no email addresses, no phone numbers. Just private, intelligent assistance.
Core Privacy Principles
Anonymous Authentication
OSO replaces traditional accounts with anonymous 16-digit authentication keys. There is no username, email, or phone number tied to your identity. Your key is generated locally and never transmitted in a way that can be linked back to you.
Local-First Storage
Conversations are stored on your device, not on centralized servers. OSO never uploads, syncs, or backs up your chat history to the cloud. When you delete a conversation, it is gone permanently.
Anonymized Query Routing
User queries are routed through secure, anonymized channels to protect your identity and prevent network-level tracking. This ensures that no single point in the chain can associate a query with a specific user.
Zero Data Collection
OSO does not collect personal data, behavioral data, or conversation logs. There are no analytics, no telemetry, and no usage tracking. The application is designed so there is nothing to monetize.
No Account Required
You never need to sign up, verify an email, or provide a phone number. OSO works immediately after installation. Your identity remains entirely under your control.
No Data Monetization
OSO is funded by user donations and subscriptions, not by selling data or attention. There are no ads, no data brokers, and no behavioral profiling. Your usage of OSO generates zero revenue for third parties.
Privacy Protocols
OSO includes built-in mechanisms for situations where you need immediate control over your data and screen visibility.
Eggshell Protocol
Secondary passwordA secondary password that, when entered, immediately clears all local history, resets the application to its default state, and provides plausible deniability. To any observer, the application appears freshly installed with no trace of prior use.
Knightfall Protocol
Emergency activationAn emergency privacy shutdown that clears active memory, terminates all running processes, and locks the interface. Knightfall is designed for situations where you need to secure the application instantly and completely.
Instant Screen Lock
CTRL + PA keyboard shortcut that instantly locks the OSO interface, hiding all visible content behind a lock screen. No data is destroyed -- the session resumes after re-authentication -- but nothing is visible to anyone who glances at your screen.
OSO is built so that privacy is not a feature you enable -- it is the default state. Every design decision, from authentication to storage to networking, exists to ensure that your data stays yours.
